Job summary

ENOVIX Corporation in Penang seeks a Sr Principal Equipment Engineer to develop, procure and install high volume automated assembly, test equipment and tooling for our unique 3D cell architecture. You will lead design reviews, coordinate with suppliers, and drive process improvements.

The role demands strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills, plus 5+ years supporting automated manufacturing equipment in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in electronics, electrical, or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment is required.

Responsibilities

• Support AME of customized automation equipment including DFMEA, development and commissioning.
• Collaborate with suppliers to optimize system design and performance.
• Support process scale-up activities and production ramp.
• Debug issues, improve cycle times, yields and equipment uptime.
• Use data from SCADA, logs, and machine events to drive improvements.
• Implement continuous improvement plans for MTBA/MTBF and safety.

Job Summary

We are seeking Sr Principal Equipment Engineer to develop, procure and install high volume automated assembly, test equipment and tooling used in the production of our unique 3D cell architecture.

Responsibilities

• Support AME of customized automation equipment including system design DFMEA, development, and commissioning.
• Work with supplier partners to optimize system design and performance
• Support manufacturing process scales up activities and production ramp
• Debug current issues, improve cycle times, yields, equipment uptime OEE APQ (Availability, Performance & Quality)
• Support escalation activities and troubleshoot production equipment and maintain the Availability goals set.
• Use equipment performance data to drive improvement projects by SCADA, TMS and Machine event logs.
• Initiate continuous improvement plans for existing equipment MTBA & MTBF as well as Safety compliances.
• Institute statistical process controls on applicable manufacturing equipment

Qualifications

• MS/BS Degree Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
• 5+ years of experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment
• Familiarity with automation components and tools including PLCs, pneumatics, motors, digital and analog IO, temperature controllers, and reading mechanical and wiring diagram drawing.
