Job summary

NPI drives product development at Renesas Electronics Corp. from concept to mass production through process optimization, risk management, data analysis, and cross-functional coordination.

You will contribute to establishing optimal process conditions and documenting results for smooth MP transfer. The role requires a Mechanical/Electrical/Materials engineering background and familiarity with SPC, DOE concepts, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, or related).
• Experience in semiconductor/assembly/manufacturing/process engineering preferred.
• Fresh graduates with relevant internship/project exposure may be considered.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and defect mechanisms.
• Familiar with SPC and data analysis fundamentals.
• Basic DOE concepts.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; able to coordinate with QA, OPS, R&D.
• Detail-oriented with structured approach; able to multitask in NPI environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and develop new products in DACA, DAF DA, & Vacuum Reflow, ensuring smooth transfer to MP.
• Conduct process development risk assessment and evaluation planning (CZ/DOE).
• Establish optimal process conditions and apply SPC for stable operations and documentation.
• Track, analyse and compile sample build data in reports for designers/customers.
• Prepare and report deliverables to REL-AED.

• Basic understanding of:
  • Manufacturing processes (e.g., Dicing, DA, WB, molding, or similar)
  • Process flow & defect mechanisms
• Familiar with:
  • SPC / data analysis fundamentals
  • Basic DOE concept (not necessarily expert level)
• Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills
  • Ability to analyse production/sample build data & Identify trends and potential issues.
• Communication & Coordination
  • Able to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams (QA, OPS, R&D) & Prepare basic technical reports and summaries.
• Working Attitude
  • Detail-oriented with structured approach & willing to learn and handle multiple tasks in NPI environment
