Job summary

Altera in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking an RTR Leader responsible for overseeing general ledger, month-end close, intercompany accounting, consolidation, fixed assets, and statutory reporting across entities worldwide.

The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background, audit experience, and solid knowledge of statutory reporting, with the ability to drive process excellence and internal controls to ensure integrity of financial reporting across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• Professional qualification ACCA, CPA, MIA, ICAEW or equivalent.
• 18+ years of relevant accounting, reporting and tax compliance experience.
• Hands-on experience with SSC setup, transitions or finance transformation projects.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards; US GAAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the setup and operational management of RTR functions within the CAO.
• Oversee general ledger accounting.
• Month-end and year-end close.
• Balance sheet reconciliations.

• Drive standardisation and process optimization across global finance operations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, corporate policies and SOX.

• Develop and monitor KPIs, close calendars and service delivery metrics.
• Support ERP implementation, migration and finance transformation initiatives.
• Lead process documentation and internal control enhancement initiatives.
• Build and mentor a high-performing RTR organization.
