Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an RTR Analyst to join our Finance team and support accurate, timely accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on end-to-end RTR experience, especially across GL, Fixed Assets, reconciliations and month-end closing.

You will contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance finance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/commercial field.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Hands-on end-to-end RTR experience across GL, FA and reconciliations.
• Experience in Fixed Assets accounting and asset reconciliation.
• Balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.
• SAP experience is highly preferred.
• Process improvement or finance digitalisation experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a Finance team.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day RTR activities covering General Ledger, Fixed Assets and related processes.
• Prepare and post GL journals and support month-end close.
• Conduct bank, balance sheet and control account reconciliations.
• Manage provisions, prepayments and Fixed Assets accounting tasks.
• Handle intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure timely financial reporting and month-end deadlines.
• Support internal and external audits and system/process improvements.

About the Role

We are looking for a Record to Report (RTR) Analyst to join our Finance team and support the delivery of accurate, timely and efficient accounting operations.

This role is ideal for someone with hands‑on end‑to‑end RTR experience, particularly across General Ledger, Fixed Assets, reconciliations and month‑end closing. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives to make our finance processes more efficient.

What You’ll Do

End-to-End RTR Operations

• Perform day-to-day Record to Report activities covering General Ledger, Fixed Assets and related accounting processes.

• Prepare and post GL journals and support month-end closing activities.

• Perform bank, balance sheet and control account reconciliations.

• Manage provisions and prepayments reconciliation.

• Handle Fixed Assets accounting, including asset capitalization, additions, depreciation, adjustments and reconciliation of the Fixed Assets Register to the General Ledger.

• Perform intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

• Ensure financial reporting and month-end close deadlines are consistently met.

• Support internal and external audit activities, including year-end audit requirements.

Process & Service Delivery

• Manage RTR workflow mailboxes and ensure requests are responded to within agreed timelines.

• Maintain accurate process documentation and ensure accounting processes are performed in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Identify and elevate system or process issues and work with relevant stakeholders towards resolution.

• Support the implementation of new systems, processes and improvements within the RTR function.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and improve existing accounting processes.

• Participate in or lead process improvement and automation initiatives.

• Share best practices and contribute to improving the efficiency and quality of RTR service delivery.

• Prepare ad‑hoc reports and analysis as required by the Team Lead or Manager.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or equivalent. Candidates pursuing ACCA, CPA or other professional qualifications are encouraged to apply.

• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within an international organisation or Finance Shared Services environment.

• Hands‑on end‑to‑end RTR experience, with strong exposure to General Ledger and month‑end closing.

• Practical experience in Fixed Assets accounting, including asset capitalization, depreciation and asset reconciliation.

• Experience in balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany and control account reconciliations.

• SAP experience is highly preferred.

• Experience in process improvement, automation or finance digitalisation initiatives will be an advantage.

• Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem‑solving skills.

• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with a wider Finance team.
