Job summary

B. Braun Medical Industries in Penang is seeking a Sr. Executive - Production Controlling to support monthly closes, financial reporting, budgeting and planning.

You will analyze plant costs, productivity, and KPIs, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive cost efficiency and data-driven decisions. The role requires 3–5 years in FP&A/Controlling in a manufacturing setting, with advanced Excel and SAP (FI/CO/MM) experience, plus Power BI or Tableau knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• ACCA/CIMA/CPA/CFA are an added advantage.
• 3–5 years of FP&A, Controlling, Cost Accounting, or Manufacturing Finance experience.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly closing activities, financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting and annual planning.
• Analyze plant financial performance, manufacturing costs, productivity metrics and KPIs.
• Perform variance analysis and identify cost optimization and efficiency opportunities.
• Partner with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain and other stakeholders to support business objectives.
• Prepare management reports, dashboards and presentations for leadership reviews.
• Drive reporting automation, standardization and data quality improvements.
• Support financial modeling and scenario analysis for decision-making.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial and operational data.
• Role includes other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Your key responsibilities:

• Support monthly closing activities, financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and annual planning processes.
• Analyze plant financial performance, manufacturing costs, productivity metrics, and operational KPIs.
• Perform variance analysis and identify opportunities for cost optimization, operational efficiency, and business improvement.
• Partner closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional stakeholders to support business objectives.
• Prepare management reports, dashboards, and presentations for plant leadership and management reviews.
• Drive reporting automation, process standardization, and data quality improvement initiatives.
• Support decision-making through financial modeling, scenario analysis, and business performance evaluations.
• Ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency of financial and operational data.
• The job function listed is not exhaustive and shall also include any responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.

What you will bring to the team:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or CFA will be an added advantage.

3 to 5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Controlling, Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Finance, or related finance functions.

Prior experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment is highly preferred.

Experience supporting operational stakeholders and business partnering activities will be advantageous.

Strong financial analysis, business modelling, and problem-solving capabilities.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.Hands-on experience with SAP, preferably FI, CO, and MM modules.

Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence/reporting tools is an advantage.

Good understanding of manufacturing cost structures, standard costing, inventory management, and operational KPIs.

Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills.

Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail.

Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.

Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for process optimization and automation.
