Tech Mahindra in Malaysia seeks an experienced MSSQL & MySQL DBA with AWS and Azure expertise to manage mission-critical databases across on-prem, AWS, and Azure.

You will handle backup, DR, performance tuning, security, automation via PowerShell and Terraform, and support CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires 5–8 years of experience and a proactive approach to reliability and cloud migration initiatives.

Qualifications

• Senior DBA with cloud experience and strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience across SQL Server and MySQL in hybrid cloud environments.
• Good understanding of HA/DR, security, and automation practices.

Responsabilités

• Administer SQL Server and MySQL databases across on-prem, AWS, and Azure.
• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, migrate, backup, restore, clone, and refresh databases.
• Monitor health, performance, availability, and capacity; optimize queries and indexes.
• Implement HA/DR solutions including Always On, replication, and clustering.
• Support cloud database migrations and modernization initiatives.

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced MSSQL & MySQL DBA with expertise in AWS and Azure cloud environments.

Responsible for database administration, performance tuning, backup & recovery, high availability, cloud migrations, automation, security, and production support for mission critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer SQL Server and MySQL databases across on premises, AWS, and Azure platforms.
• Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, migration, backup, restore, cloning, and refresh activities.
• Monitor database health, performance, availability, and capacity utilization.
• Optimize queries, indexes, stored procedures, replication, and resource utilization.
• Implement and support High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions.
• Conduct DR testing, recovery validation, and business continuity planning.
• Support cloud database migration and modernization initiatives.
• Automate DBA tasks using PowerShell, Shell scripting, Terraform, and ARM templates.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and DevOps practices.
• Implement database security, encryption, compliance controls, and vulnerability remediation.

Mandatory Technical Skills
