Sr. Associate, Master Data Governance & Management (Supply Chain) is responsible for supporting the governance, creation, activation, maintenance, and quality management of Commercial Material Master Data within the IRIS SAP environment. The role serves as the primary point of contact for Commercial Affiliates, ensuring master data requests are processed accurately and in accordance with Global Data Management (GDM) standards, governance requirements, and business rules.

The position collaborates closely with Global Data Managers, Regional Data Stewards, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, Customer Service, Marketing, and Commercial stakeholders to ensure the integrity, consistency, and completeness of material master data that supports critical business operations. The role also drives data quality initiatives, reporting, data governance activities, and continuous improvement efforts to support operational excellence and business continuity.

Additionally, the Sr. Associate I is responsible for ensuring compliance with established SOPs, internal controls, financial audit requirements, and global data governance standards while maintaining accurate and auditable master data records across commercial affiliates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Service Deliveries:

Create, maintain, activate, and update Commercial Material Master records within the IRIS SAP system.

Analyze and process new material creation requests, material changes, extensions, and activation requests to support business operations.

Serve as the primary point of contact for Commercial Affiliates regarding Material Master Data processes and governance requirements.

Provide guidance and support to business users on Material Master Data procedures, standards, and system requirements.

Ensure compliance with Global Data Management standards, policies, and business rules as defined in the GDM Data Dictionary.

Coordinate material setup activities, including costing, pricing, and material extension approvals required for product activation.

Support reporting and analytical activities for Material Master Data management and business stakeholders.

Participate in data governance, standardization, data cleansing, and quality improvement initiatives.

Assist business teams in resolving Material Master Data issues and supporting operational requirements.

Collaborate with Global Data Management teams to evaluate and implement changes impacting commercial material settings.

Manage Day-to-Day Activities:

Review, validate, and process Material Master requests within agreed service levels and quality standards.

Monitor data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across Commercial Material Master records.

Analyze business and operational data from multiple systems to identify issues and recommend solutions.

Query, extract, and analyze large datasets to support data validation and audit activities.

Work closely with Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, Marketing, Customer Service, and Commercial teams to resolve master data-related issues.

Maintain documentation and evidence supporting Material Master changes and approvals.

Perform monthly AFCM control activities and financial audit support according to approved procedures.

Track and manage ticket queues, ensuring timely closure of requests and issue resolution.

Participate in Global Data Steward meetings and communicate new standards, policies, and process updates to local stakeholders.

Act as an escalation point during business disruptions related to material master data and system transactions.

Support local affiliate configuration and setup activities required for supply chain and commercial operations.

Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance data quality, governance, and operational efficiency.

Compliance:

Ensure all Material Master Data processes comply with approved SOPs, global governance standards, and company policies.

Maintain complete, accurate, and auditable documentation for all master data changes.

Support internal, external, and financial audit requirements related to master data governance controls.

Perform control monitoring activities and ensure compliance with AFCM and financial control requirements.

Identify data quality risks, control gaps, and opportunities for corrective and preventive actions.

Promote a strong data governance culture through adherence to policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Complete all required compliance and regulatory training within established timelines.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

Master's Degree is preferred.

Professional certifications in SAP, Data Governance, Data Management, Analytics, or related disciplines are advantageous.

Languages:

Fluent in written and spoken English (mandatory).

Knowledge of at least one additional language is preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively with global and regional stakeholders.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of experience in Master Data Management, preferably within a multinational environment.

Experience managing and maintaining SAP Material Master Data.

Strong understanding of master data governance principles, standards, and business processes.

Experience supporting data quality, data cleansing, and data governance initiatives.

Proven experience analyzing complex business problems and developing practical solutions.

Experience collaborating with Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, Customer Service, Marketing, and Commercial teams.

Experience interacting with senior stakeholders and coordinating activities across multiple functions.

Medical Device, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, or other regulated industry experience is preferred.

Technical Skills:

SAP Master Data Management experience, particularly Material Master Data.

Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.

Experience with Microsoft Access, Visio, VBA, SQL, or similar analytical tools preferred.

Data analysis, validation, reporting, and data quality management skills.

Knowledge of data governance frameworks and master data management processes.

Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
