Job summary

AT&S Malaysia in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah, invites a Specialist for MES and Automation to strengthen IT domain operations and drive efficiency. You will implement hardware and software solutions, support key IT projects, and share domain best practices with users across the site.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering, 5+ years in high-level equipment integration using OPC/SECS-GEM, and strong knowledge of MQTT, RS-232, HSMS and TCP/IP, plus proficiency in C#/.Net or

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, automation, industrial engineering, or comparable degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of professional domain experience in manufacturing IT/automation.
• Experience with OPC and SECS/GEM standards for equipment integration.
• Knowledge of MQTT, RS-232, HSMS and TCP/IP protocols.
• Proficient in C# / .Net or TypeScript and relational databases (SQL).
• Good command of English; technical documentation and communication in a multinational environment.

• Define and document domain processes, policies, and standards to support operational efficiency.
• Lead and support IT projects and initiatives from planning to deployment.

Specialist - MES and Automation

As the Specialist for MES and Automation, you will ensure efficient operations within a specific IT domain by implementing and optimizing hardware and software solutions. You’ll provide strategic guidance, resolve technical issues, and enhance systems and processes to maximize the value and performance of IT in your area.

• Collaborate with key users to understand business needs and develop domain-specific technology solutions.

• Lead and support IT projects and initiatives, ensuring successful execution from planning to deployment.
• Customize systems and recommend new technologies to improve functionality, efficiency, and user satisfaction.
• Provide technical support and training to users on domain-specific tools, processes, and best practices.
• Analyze complex issues, ensure quality assurance, and promote sustainable, cost-effective solution design.

Job Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, automation, industrial engineering, or comparable degree or equivalent at least 5 years professional domain experience.
• More than 5 years of experience in high-level equipment integration using OPC and / or SECS/GEM standards.
• Knowledge of communication protocols, such as MQTT, RS-232, HSMS and TCP/IP.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming (preferably C# / .Net or Typescript).
• Knowledge of factory automation and equipment integration
• Good knowledge of relational database concepts and SQL.
• Great understanding of advanced manufacturing production processes, particularly in electronics, semiconductors or medical devices industries
• Proficient in oral and written language skills (EN, assignment country language is a benefit).
