Job summary

eco-shop Malaysia is seeking a leader for the Space, Range & Display (SRD) function to develop space planning, assortment and planogram strategies that optimise store space, category performance and customer experience. You will drive data-driven space and range decisions and ensure timely delivery of store layouts, planograms and SRD projects.

The role requires 4–5 years of retail space planning experience, proficiency with major planogram systems, and strong leadership and analytical skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree / Diploma in relevant field.
  • 4–5 years of retail space planning experience.
  • Knowledge of planograms is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead space planning, category layout and planogram development for new, refit and existing stores.
  • Lead planogram development, maintenance, and optimisation of merchandising displays, including adjacency planning, to ensure accuracy, effectiveness, and alignment with space planning principles
  • Drive range and assortment planning to ensure the right product range and space allocation across different stores.
  • Analyse sales, demand, SKU and space productivity to identify opportunities and provide recommendations for business improvement.
  • Develop and maintain Space, Range & Display principles, standards, guidelines and SOPs.
  • Lead store optimisation, category revamp and other Space & Range initiatives.
  • Support system enhancements and BI/reporting setup to improve space data accuracy and reporting capability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure commercial requirements are effectively translated into store execution.
  • Manage team priorities, workload and project timelines to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Coach and develop the team to strengthen Space & Range planning and analytical capabilities.

Job description

To lead the Space, Range & Display (SRD) function by developing space planning, assortment and planogram strategies to optimise store space, category performance and customer experience. The role drives data-driven space and range decisions while ensuring timely and accurate delivery of store layouts, planograms and key SRD projects.

Job Responsibilities

Person Specifications
Education & Qualification
  • Degree / Diploma
Relevant Experience & Years of Service
  • At least 4–5 years of retail space planning experience
  • Knowledge or working with Planogram is an advantage
Technical Skills, Professional Knowledge & Competencies
  • Spaceman, JDA, Shelf Planning or other major planogram system is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Core competencies: Analytical Thinking, Space Planning Expertise, Problem Solving, Stakeholder management, Customer-centric mindset, Team Leadership, Communication Skills
  • Possess own transport & willing to travel.
