Job summary

Watsons Personal Care Stores Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a space and assortment analyst to optimize in-store space and planograms. You will analyze category sales, productivity and trends to recommend SKU changes and rationalization.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement space strategies, manage space data, and produce actionable reports that drive sales performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in business/administration.
• 3–4 years of experience in a related field.
• Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint; basic data analytics.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze space performance by category sales, productivity and trends to recommend SKU changes.
• Rationalize SKUs to optimize assortment within available space.
• Develop planograms and provide space insights for merchandising execution.
• Manage space requests and assignments; liaise between departments.
• Create meaningful space reports and contribute to strategy development.

Job description

Understands and conducts appropriate analysis on space performance based on the each category sales, sales productivity and related sales trend. Recommend SKU to expand, remove and delete

Conduct SKU rationalization to determine most productive assortment with available SKU space to ensure maximum sales and customer satisfaction

Analyze retail and market level data to develop planogram utilizing manual platform, and to provide insights & recommendation on to the assortment in the planogram / merchandising execution

Manage and facilitate the process of space requests and space assignments and make recommendations

To act & assist as a key liaison between departments to maximize and utilize the space for new project/ category

Responsible to manage space data to create meaningful reports for space insight and assist on strategy development

Develop and provide appropriate business analysis for space and assortment development

Generate recommended action plan to improve sales productivity

Conducts review check & tracking after implementation of space/ category project and makes recommendations regarding the re-utilization and reassignment of space.

Assist with administrative responsibilities prior to retail project sets such as data cleansing, planogram management, planogram retrieval, reviewing retail and category management guidelines, etc.

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Others or equivalent.

At least 3-4 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Required Skill(s): MS Excel, PowerPoint & Basic Data Analytical Skills

Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work in a team or as an individual

Ability to interact with the business to understand their needs and interpret how they could be fulfilled using the available data.
