Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a spa and beauty therapist to deliver manicure, pedicure, facial and hair spa services. You will perform nail preparation, shaping, cuticle care, polishing, and nail art where applicable, and provide gel or acrylic extensions.

You will also conduct basic consultations, maintain hygiene standards, prepare treatment rooms, and support product recommendations to clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in spa, beauty salon, nail salon, facial or hair treatment services.
• Strong practical skills in at least one or more of the services offered by the spa.
• Good customer-service and communication skills.
• Able to communicate in English and/or Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional manicure and pedicure services, including nail preparation, shaping, cuticle care, polishing and nail art where applicable.

You will perform nail preparation, shaping, cuticle care, polishing and nail art where applicable, provide nail extension services such as gel or acrylic, perform facial treatments according to customer skin type, and provide hair spa and scalp treatments including washing, treatment application, massage and finishing.

Key responsibilities

Perform professional manicure and pedicure services, including nail preparation, shaping, cuticle care, polishing and nail art where applicable

Provide nail extension services such as gel, acrylic, or other salon-approved techniques

Perform facial treatments according to the customer's skin type and the spa's treatment procedures

Provide hair spa and scalp treatments, including washing, treatment application, massage and finishing

Conduct basic consultation with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable treatments

Maintain high standards of hygiene, sanitation and cleanliness for all tools, equipment and treatment areas

Prepare the treatment room and ensure all equipment and products are ready before each appointment

Handle customers professionally and create a comfortable, relaxing spa experience

Recommend suitable treatments and retail products when appropriate, without being overly pushy

Keep track of product usage and inform management when stock is running low

About you

Previous experience in spa, beauty salon, nail salon, facial or hair treatment services

Strong practical skills in at least one or more of the services offered by the spa

For nail specialists: experience with nail extensions, gel/acrylic application, manicure and pedicure

For beauty therapists: experience with facials, skin treatments and basic skin consultation

For hair therapists: experience with hair spa, scalp massage and hair treatments

Knowledge of proper hygiene, sanitation and tool sterilisation

Good customer-service and communication skills

Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Positive attitude, willingness to learn and good work ethic

Able to communicate in English and/or Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are an advantage
