Job summary

Qualifications

• High school education or vocational certificate required.
• 1-2 years’ experience in a hotel spa or international day spa preferred.

• Knowledge of spa and housekeeping practices including cleaning and infection control desired.
• Reading English proficient; other languages desirable.

Job description

YOUR DAY TO DAY

• Create a spa environment and experience that distinguishes our brand, ensuring the spa and wellness areas are clean, sanitised and ready for guests at all times

• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitisation of assigned treatment rooms, including room turns, restocking and resetting after each treatment (emptying trash, transporting used linen to laundry, stocking linen shelves, sweeping, and cleaning mirrors and sinks)

• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitisation of the spa lobby, lockers, Relax Dome, Reset Pod, Beauty Hub, fitness areas and other public spaces, as well as offices

• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitisation of bathrooms, corridors, pathways and other work areas

• Carry out regular deep cleaning of assigned work areas

• Clean up spills and accidents as needed

• Provide spa linen and towel laundry services

• Ensure the spa facility is ready to receive guests every single time

Guest Experience

• Be a friendly face and helping hand to our guests, assisting in spa areas in a professional, gracious manner

• Greet every guest according to standards, using their names at all times

• Inform guests of spa policies and communicate special requests to the team

• Check guest comfort before each treatment by monitoring air temperature, lighting, sunlight and music levels, following the spa ambience procedures

• Assist therapists in offering guests refreshments after treatments

• Report any guest comments or concerns to the Spa Receptionist or Assistant Spa Manager as soon as convenient

• Maintain the highest level of discretion and privacy in every guest interaction

• Deliver Regent’s service behaviours in daily operations, and strive to deliver luxury experiences that meet our guest satisfaction targets

• Know all available spa services

Teamwork and Preparation

• Assist therapists in preparing the treatment rooms and spa products

• Prepare and maintain daily cleaning schedules together with the Assistant Spa Manager

• Record daily spa bookings in the Spa Attendant log, staying updated on any changes

• Review the next day’s bookings at the end of each day and prepare accordingly

• Respond to changes in spa operations as assigned by management

• Participate in departmental practices such as operations briefings, and inventory and cost management initiatives, to understand the business direction and help achieve our goals

• Undertake and complete other assignments as designated by the Spa Manager and Director of Wellness

Responsible Business

• Keep our property safe and secure, and participate in hotel activities related to fire and life safety

• Follow company safety, hygiene and infection control procedures

• Wear your uniform with pride and maintain a smart, polished appearance

Accountabilities

• Cleanliness, sanitisation and readiness of all assigned spa areas

• Consistent delivery of discreet, attentive guest service

• Accurate stock levels and timely reporting of supply and maintenance needs

• Compliance with company policies, safety and hygiene standards

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

To thrive in this role and bring poise and precision to the guest journey, you'll need:

• High school education, vocational certificate or equivalent

• 1 to 2 years’ experience in a hotel spa (5-star hotel) or an international day spa

• Attention to detail, flexibility, trustworthiness and dependability

• Working knowledge of spa and housekeeping practices, including cleaning, sanitising, deep cleaning and infection control

• Ability to read and understand English; other languages desirable

• Housekeeping attendant experience desirable
