Job summary

Victaulic is seeking a Sourcing Specialist for SEA, covering Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. You will identify and develop suppliers, manage performance, and negotiate global contracts to support Victaulic’s supply chain. Travel across Southeast Asia is required.

Fluency in English and Chinese is preferred, and you will collaborate with QA, Engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure quality and on-time delivery of components and valves used in piping systems.

Qualifications

• Hands-on sourcing experience including supplier identification, development and qualifications, supplier performance scorecard management
• Fundamental products and manufacturing knowledge of ductile iron casting, fabrication and various valves used in piping system
• Be able to read blue print, PC literate, able to use Microsoft Office software applications, sound presentation skills at all levels
• Self-Motivated, result driven /goal oriented with customer focus and sense of urgency
• Willingness to travel across Southeast Asia region and work flexibly as needed

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess and establish new suppliers for required commodities in line with Victaulic procedures
• Manage approved suppliers: measure and improve capacity, price, lead time, stock, delivery, packaging, logistics, communication
• Coordinate with QA and Engineering to solve quality issues with responsible suppliers
• Analyze quotes representing Victaulic global requirements and negotiate global supply contracts
• Communicate updated requirements, practices and processes to suppliers in Asia
• Search, identify and develop new suppliers and obtain quotations from them
• Issue sample orders and follow up sampling with QA and suppliers
• Work cross-functionally and perform necessary purchasing tasks as Sourcing Specialist

You will ensure the reliable, cost-effective supply of components and commodities by driving supplier performance, mitigating supply risks, and implementing sourcing strategies that support business growth, quality standards, and operational excellence worldwide. **WHAT YOU’LL BUILD & OWN** * New suppliers identification, assessment and establishment for required commodities / components in line with Victaulic Corp. procedures and business practices, to support Victaulic current and potential business needs in Asian Region and globally* Management of the related approved suppliers: including measurement and improvement of responsible Asian suppliers’ capacity, price, lead time, stock, delivery, packaging, logistics, communication, etc. Coordinate with QA and related Engineering people to closely work with responsible suppliers on solving quality issues* Analysis and interpretation of Asian quote packages representing Victaulic globalrequirements including Asian plants.
