Job summary

Tentacle Tech is looking for an accomplished Solution Architect to own mission-critical Cards & Payments platforms within the banking sector. You will provide strategic technology leadership, ensuring stability, performance, and compliance across card issuing, acquiring, payment switching, and ATM/SST operations.

You will lead end-to-end delivery, governance, and vendor management across high-availability environments, with oversight of cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Banking Technology, focusing on Cards & Payments platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related discipline.
• PMP certification is an advantage.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale technology in high-availability environments.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall SDLC methodologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement with senior leaders.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional coordination across teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end delivery, availability, performance, and support of Cards & Payments applications.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, payment scheme standards, and governance policies.
• Drive continuous improvement in system performance, resilience, and service delivery.
• Manage technology risks, production incidents, and change initiatives.
• Oversee project delivery and vendor performance across multiple stakeholders.
• Provide subject matter guidance on Cards & Payments technology.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of card issuing, acquiring, payment switching, ATM/SST, and network integration solutions.

The Role:

We are looking for an accomplished Solution Architect to take ownership of mission-critical Cards & Payments platforms within the banking sector. In this role, you will provide strategic technology leadership, ensuring the stability, performance, and compliance of systems that underpin card issuing, acquiring, payment switching, and ATM/SST operations, while supporting a broader digital transformation agenda.

What You'll Do:

• Oversee the end-to-end delivery, availability, performance, and support of mission-critical Cards & Payments applications
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, payment scheme standards, and internal governance policies
• Drive continuous improvement in system performance, operational resilience, and service delivery
• Manage technology risks, production incidents, and change initiatives to ensure stable and secure operations
• Oversee project delivery and vendor performance across multiple stakeholders
• Provide subject matter expertise and strategic guidance on Cards & Payments technology
• Lead end-to-end delivery of card issuing, acquiring, payment switching, ATM/SST, and payment network integration solutions

What We’re Looking For:

• 12+ years of experience in Banking Technology, with a strong focus on Cards & Payments platforms in large financial institutions
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an advantage
• Proven track record managing large-scale technology delivery within complex, high-availability environments
• Strong understanding of multiple SDLC methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels
• Strong leadership and coordination skills across cross-functional and cross-vendor teams
