Job summary

Hyppies Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Solution Architect to lead the technical design of scalable financial products used across Malaysia.

You will engage stakeholders, draw up the architectural roadmap, and oversee architecture for mission-critical systems with zero downtime. The role requires deep experience in distributed systems, API governance, and Java-based microservices, with a focus on fintech environments such as core banking and e-wallets.

Job description

Our client is a leader in financial services, serving millions of users across Malaysia and the ASEAN region. Supporting large scale transactions, money management, e-wallets, etc.

What you will be doing:

As a solution architect, you will be leading the technical design and oversee the production of scalable financial products used by millions of users across Malaysia.

• Engaging with stakeholders to understand business goals, gather technical requirements and draw up the technical architecture
• Designing technical architecture and roadmap for mission critical financial systems that are scalable with zero downtime
• Lead the architecture design for brownfield modernisation (legacy system decomposition, database re-platforming, API-first transformation, etc)

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience owning and participating in technical discussions for architecture design
• Experience working in banking or fintech environments (core banking, cards, e-wallets, payements, etc)
• Knowledge of distributed system architecture, API design and governance, event-drive and asynchronous messaging patterns
• Extensive knowledge and working experience in Java (Spring Boot, Java EE, Java 17, microservices, etc)
