Job summary

Links International is seeking a Solution Architect based in Malaysia to lead the design of HRIS/HRMS and payroll systems. You will set architecture standards, drive DevOps concepts, and ensure security, scalability, and reliable delivery across projects.

The role requires extensive SaaS architecture experience, strong backend skills in Java/Go/Python/TypeScript, and hands-on work with MySQL and CosmosDB. Excellent stakeholder management is essential.

Qualifications

• 8 years in SaaS solution architecture.
• 3 years in HR/payroll systems.
• Experience designing scalable Azure systems.
• Knowledge of API integrations with enterprise platforms.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, Python, TypeScript.
• Hands-on design patterns: BFF, gateway, factory, strategy, plugin.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, CosmosDB).
• Strong stakeholder management and documentation skills.
• Exposure to web-based architectures and non-functional requirements.

Job description

Due to rapid growth and subsequent expansion, we are now looking for a Solution Architect based in Malaysia and help drive Links International to become the HR Outsourcing Partner of choice in Asia Pacific.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead solution design and architecture for HRIS/HRMS solutions and HR/payroll systems
• Establish design and production blueprints and maintain architecture standards, design patterns, and technical governance processes
• Contribute to DevOps strategies and build proof-of-concepts (POCs)
• Review and validate technical designs, integrations, and architecture decisions across projects
• Ensure solutions align with scalability, security, resiliency, and operational best practices
• Identify technical risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies early and provide practical recommendations
• Prepare and maintain architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and solution review materials
• Work closely with Engineering Team throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure design consistency and quality implementation
• Collaborate with internal IT Team on deployment infrastructure and security operational readiness
• Present complex concepts to non-technical audiences (eg. management team and internal stakeholders)

Requirements:

• 8 years in SaaS solution architecture and 3 years in HR/payroll systems
• Solid experience in designing scalable Azure systems and APIs integrations with enterprise platforms
• Back-end development programming language including Java, Go, Python, TypeScript
• Hands-on managing design patterns including BFF, gateway pattern, factory, strategy pattern, plugin architecture
• Hands-on managing database in RDBMS (MySQL) and NoSQL (CosmosDB)
• Excellent knowledge in web based architectures, integration methods and strategies to support non-functional requirements such as agility, resilience and performance
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
