Job summary

XTS TECHNOLOGIES SDN BHD invites a Senior Solution Engineer to design end-to-end warehouse automation solutions. You will translate client requirements into technical proposals, size systems, and select appropriate technologies, collaborating with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

You will lead technical discussions, prepare proposals and costing, and mentor junior engineers while supporting sales through tender and project handovers. Travel for site surveys is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in solution engineering, warehouse automation, material handling, intralogistics, or related industries.
• Strong understanding of warehouse automation systems such as ASRS, shuttle systems, conveyors, AMR/AGV, sortation, and WMS/WES integration.
• Proficient in reading and preparing engineering layouts, process flow diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform capacity, throughput, storage, cycle time, and manpower calculations.
• Experience in preparing technical proposals, SOW, BOM, and project costing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; CAD knowledge is an advantage.
• Good communication, presentation, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet proposal deadlines.
• Willing to travel for customer meetings, site surveys, and project-related activities.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop warehouse automation solutions based on customer requirements and operational data.
• Conduct requirement analysis, data analysis, capacity and throughput calculations, and system sizing.
• Prepare solution concepts, system layouts, process flows, technical proposals, SOW, and costing.
• Evaluate and select suitable automation technologies, equipment, and system configurations.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to develop and finalize solutions.
• Review technical feasibility, system performance, capacity, space utilization, and operational requirements.
• Lead solution discussions and technical presentations with customers and stakeholders.
• Support sales and project teams during tender, proposal, clarification, and project handover stages.
• Review supplier proposals, technical specifications, BOM, and commercial costing to ensure alignment with requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior solution engineers.
• Continuously improve solution design standards, calculation methods, and proposal processes.
