Job summary

China Telecom (Malaysia) SDN BHD is seeking a presales engineer to lead technical engagements, understand customer objectives, and design customized network solutions using CT's connectivity services. You will handle pre-sales through to production, including requirement analysis, proposals, demonstrations, and on-site support.

Requirements include a degree/diploma in telecommunications or related field, at least 2 years of presales telecom experience, CCNA/CCNP/HCNA/HCIP certifications, and

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of relevant presales experience in the telecommunications industry.
• CCNA, CCNP, HCNA, HCIP certifications; any Cloud certificate is a plus.
• Bilingual in English and Chinese (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-sales technical engagement with customers to understand business objectives and technical requirements.
• Develop high quality customized solutions using China Telecom's network connectivity services.
• Prepare solution proposals and project writeups to illustrate value proposition.
• Coordinate with external partners and internal teams to ensure end-to-end feasibility.
• Support project delivery during implementation and provide post-sales consultation.
• Review customer network performance and propose enhancements and modernization opportunities.
• Travel to client sites as required.

Job description

Lead pre-sales technical engagement with customers to understand their business objectives and technical requirements. Develop high quality customized solutions using China Telecom's suite of network connectivity services to fulfil customers' requirements. Be involved in the whole process of pre-sales to production environment, including user requirement study, solution presentation, demonstration, training, on-site support and ensure smooth project implementation.

Key responsibilities

Lead pre-sales technical engagement with customers to understand their business objectives and technical requirements

Develop high quality customized solutions using China Telecom's suite of network connectivity services to fulfil customers' requirements

Preparation of solution proposals and project writeups to illustrate China Telecom's value proposition

Liaise with external (partners, vendors) and internal (Product, HQ and Branches Office of China Telecom) parties to ensure end-to-end technical solution feasibility

Support project delivery teams during implementation and provide post-sales consultation to ensure seamless handover and customer satisfaction

Continuously review and analyze customers' network performance, proactively proposing enhancements and digital modernization opportunities

Support all Business Units in Asia Pacific, including key strategic accounts

Occasional travel may be required

About you

Sound knowledge and understanding in Layer 1 transmission technologies (Submarine Cable Systems, DWDM, OTN), Layer 3 IP skills such as BGP, OSPF, SDWAN along with related other telecommunications services (Data Centre Design, Cloud Connectivity)

Degree or Diploma in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent

At least 2 years of relevant working experience as a presales technical role in the Telecommunication industry with experience in designing multi-country networks

Either of the following certifications: CCNA, CCNP, HCNA, HCIP. Any Cloud certificate would be an added advantage

Effective bilingual of both written and spoken English and Chinese
