Job summary

SOLS Energy Sdn Bhd is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to assist the Technical team in designing, documenting and monitoring solar PV systems. You will work on real projects, including layouts, SLDs, site assessments, monitoring and product testing, under the guidance of qualified engineers.

The role emphasizes hands-on experience with design, site work and data collection, with an internship project delivered by week 2 and mentorship from industry professionals.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
• Basic knowledge of electrical principles (circuits, protection, cable sizing).
• Basic AutoCAD skills or willingness to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Draft roof layouts and SLDs in AutoCAD for engineer review.
• Support system sizing, string configuration and cable sizing calculations, and check BOM accuracy.
• Join site visits and drone inspections; record roof condition, shading, switchboard and cable routes with photos.
• Check monitoring platforms daily for alarms, offline systems and underperformance; log issues for engineers.
• Compile datasheets and comparisons for new products and support product testing.
