Job summary

Solarvest is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to implement and monitor Safety, Health and Environmental policies across our renewable energy projects in Malaysia. You will conduct daily site inspections, train staff on safe work practices, and coordinate with Safety Officers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires at least 1 year of construction or renewable energy experience, a valid Yellow Book certificate, and strong communication and leadership

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Yellow Book (Site Safety Supervisor) certificate registered with DOSH (Department of Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia).
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in construction or renewable energy projects (solar project experience is an added advantage).
• Good knowledge of Malaysian safety regulations and standards.
• Strong communication, leadership, and observation skills.
• Able to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced project environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the site’s Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) policies in compliance with statutory requirements and company standards.
• Conduct daily site inspections and training to ensure safe work practices.
• Identify and mitigate potential hazards, unsafe conditions, and unsafe acts at the workplace.
• Liaise with the Safety Officer, O&M Manager, Engineers, Technicians, and subcontractors on safety-related issues.
• Review and ensure safety compliance of work documents (MOS, HIRARC, O&M Manual, HSE Plan, etc.) before work execution.
• Prepare and maintain safety documentation including reports, checklists, and records of incidents or near misses.
• Participate in emergency response and assist in incident and near-miss investigation and reporting.
• Ensure workers and visitors comply with site safety rules and use proper PPE.
• Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement at the project site.
