Job summary

Solarvest is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to implement and oversee Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) policies across our solar project sites in Malaysia. The role focuses on daily inspections, safety training, hazard mitigation, and ensuring compliance with MOS, HIRARC, and HSE plans.

You will liaise with the Safety Officer, engineers, technicians, and subcontractors to uphold a strong safety culture, manage documentation, and participate in emergency response and incident

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Yellow Book (Site Safety Supervisor) certificate registered with DOSH (Malaysia).
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in construction or renewable energy projects (solar project experience is an added advantage).
• Good knowledge of Malaysian safety regulations and standards.
• Strong communication, leadership, and observation skills.
• Able to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced project environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the site's Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) policies in compliance with statutory requirements and company standards.
• Conduct daily site inspections and training to ensure safe work practices.
• Identify and mitigate potential hazards, unsafe conditions, and unsafe acts at the workplace.
• Liaise with the Safety Officer, O&M Manager, Engineers, Technicians, and subcontractors on safety-related issues.
• Review and ensure safety compliance of work documents (MOS, HIRARC, O&M Manual, HSE Plan, etc.) before work execution.
• Prepare and maintain safety documentation including reports, checklists, and records of incidents or near misses.
• Participate in emergency response and assist in incident and near-miss investigation and reporting.
• Ensure workers and visitors comply with site safety rules and use proper PPE.
• Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement at the project site.
