Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT testing across applications and platforms.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, PMs, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality.
• Participate in requirement reviews and contribute to testability improvements.
• Validate enhancements, bug fixes, and releases against business requirements and quality standards.
• Prepare test execution reports, evidence, and quality metrics for stakeholders.
• Support production validation and post-release testing activities.
• Senior Analyst level: mentor junior testers and contribute to quality improvements.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Tester to join our Quality Engineering team at Accenture. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and functionality of business applications through comprehensive manual testing activities. The position offers opportunities to collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to successful project delivery, and promote a culture of quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

The role is open to professionals at both Analyst and Senior Analyst levels, with responsibilities and expectations aligned to relevant experience and expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on business and functional requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing across various applications and platforms.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects using approved defect management tools.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, project managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality outcomes.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide testing input to improve solution quality and testability.
• Validate system enhancements, bug fixes, and new releases to ensure they meet business requirements and quality standards.
• Prepare test execution reports, test evidence, and quality metrics for project stakeholders.
• Support production validation, issue analysis, and post-release testing activities as required.
• For Senior Analyst level, mentor junior testers, support test planning activities, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3 to 6 years of experience in manual software testing or quality assurance.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC).
• Experience creating and executing test cases and documenting defects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong experience in functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
• Experience leading small testing workstreams or coordinating testing activities.
• Proven ability to analyze requirements, identify testing risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Experience preparing test plans, test estimates, and quality reports.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery environments.
• Exposure to defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Experience in testing web, mobile, or enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of API testing concepts and SQL fundamentals.
• Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation or application modernization initiatives.
