Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Diploma/Bachelor-qualified engineer to join the software/system project development team in Penang. You will contribute to planning and execution, support testing, and help design new systems by analyzing user needs and creating mockups.

Ideal candidates have API experience, frontend knowledge, and a blend of technical and presentation skills. Fluent in English and Malay; Mandarin is a plus, with a collaborative, customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Bachelor’s or Professional Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/IT, or related field.
• Experience with APIs.
• Blend of technical, management and presentation abilities.
• Familiarity with PHP and C# is advantageous.
• Result-oriented with customer satisfaction focus.
• Solid understanding of front-end development.
• Self-driven and able to collaborate within a team.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
• Proficient in English and Malay; Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the software/system project development team, contributing to planning and execution of development tasks.
• Support the testing team by assisting with software functionality and testing for reliability and performance.
• Analyze and generate ideas for new software systems or enhancements to existing systems.
• Assist in designing new systems by analyzing user requirements and creating workflow diagrams and screen mockups.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop detailed system requirements (SRS) and create screen mockups for new software systems or upgrades.
• Conduct impact analysis to evaluate changes or new systems on existing infrastructure and operations.
• Work with project managers to ensure timelines, milestones, and deliverables are met while maintaining technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
