Your mission is to ensure every release is stable, secure, and production-ready particularly in areas involving data integrity, complex logic, regulatory workflows, and system integrations.
Working within a focused, cross-functional team, you will collaborate closely with product owners, designers, and engineers while maintaining strong ownership of product quality. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, systematic, and takes pride in delivering defect-free systems.
Design structured test plans, test cases, and testing strategies aligned with sprint deliverables and product requirements
Execute comprehensive functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing to ensure new features and existing modules operate correctly
Validate transaction logic, reporting accuracy, and reconciliation flows to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance
Test REST APIs, third-party integrations, and system workflows to ensure correct request/response handling and error management
Document defects with reproducible steps, severity classification, and impact analysis to enable efficient resolution
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
Contribute to building and improving automation frameworks to increase regression efficiency and release confidence
Work closely with developers and product stakeholders to refine acceptance criteria and clarify edge cases
Participate in release readiness checks and UAT support to ensure stable go-live deployments
Maintain test documentation, QA workflows, and contribute to internal quality standards

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field
At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in software testing for web-based systems
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
Ability to work independently with structured time management
Clear communication skills for effective collaboration with technical teams
A proactive mindset with strong ownership of quality
Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
Experience writing structured and comprehensive test cases
Experience conducting regression, integration, and UAT testing
Ability to classify and prioritize defects based on severity
Experience using tools such as Postman or similar API testing platforms
Understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON responses and XML/SOAP
Basic understanding of SQL queries to validate backend data accuracy
Familiarity with Git workflows
Experience working in cross-functional engineering teams
Experience testing accounting or financial software
Understanding of double-entry accounting principles (debit/credit logic)
Exposure to test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, etc.)
CI/CD testing experience
Performance testing knowledge
Familiarity with Malaysian tax compliance systems (SST, e-Invoice integration)
Experience testing microservices architecture
