Job summary

Hytech Consulting Management Sdn Bhd is seeking a QA/Test Engineer in Kuala Lumpur to ensure product quality through manual and automated testing. You will collaborate with product managers and developers to create robust test plans, write and execute test cases, and track defects to ensure timely fixes.

The role requires exposure to SDLC, Agile practices, Jira, and ISTQB or similar certifications is a plus. Opportunities to explore AI-driven testing and build automated frameworks are available.

Qualifications

• Identify, record, and track software defects using bug tracking tools, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
• Design comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements.
• Participate in the review of technical documentation, such as requirements specifications and design documents, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in software quality assurance.

About the role:

For this role, you are responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products by designing and executing test plans, identifying bugs, and working closely with the development team to resolve them. Job Requirements:

• At least Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Scrum).
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• ISTQB or similar software testing certification is a plus

Additional Good to Have:

• Hands-on experience in AI-driven testing, such as: Intelligent/automated test generation, AI-assisted test case design
• Proficient in Python and/or Java, with the ability to build and implement automated testing frameworks
