Job summary

Western Digital Malaysia invites applications for a software engineering intern to develop and maintain test management software for the HDD Validation Engineering team. You will work on a MERN-stack portal and FastAPI backends, contributing to test automation and data analytics.

As part of our Early Career program, you will receive structured onboarding, mentorship, and hands-on projects that build foundations for your professional career starting January 2027 at our Petaling Jaya office.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Willing to work on-site at our office in Petaling Jaya.
• Expected internship onboarding/start date: January 2027.

Responsibilities

• Develop features for our self-hosted web portal (MERN-stack) and microservice backends (FastAPI).
• Design and implement automation solutions for tester monitoring and data analytics.
• Help establish holistic software quality assurance processes (CI/CD, E2E testing).
• Troubleshoot and debug issues within test environments, providing timely resolutions.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain clean, well-documented code.
