We are seeking for candidates with experienced in Insurance, Capital Market, Unit Trust and Investment Industry background. The duties and responsibilities of Manager, Fund Accounting, but are not limited to the followings:
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain business applications/application features.
- Develop frontend interfaces and backend services based on business and technical requirements.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs for internal applications, external systems, and third-party integrations.
- Integrate applications with databases, APIs, authentication services, file interfaces, and other enterprise systems.
- Participate in the full software-development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Work closely with business analysts, application support teams, testers, infrastructure teams, and business users.
- Translate functional requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
- Develop clean, reusable, and well-structured source code according to internal coding standards.
- Experience to use source code management, branching, pull requests, code reviews, version control, and release coordination.
- Perform peer code reviews and address review comments before code is merged.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, API failures, integration issues, and production incidents.
- Analyse application logs and database records to identify root causes and implement permanent fixes.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, API specifications, deployment guides, and system support documentation.
- Assist in improving application performance, security, scalability, and reliability.
- Follow the organisation’s software development, change management, cybersecurity, and governance processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve development efficiency through reusable components, automation, and continuous integration practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Two to four years of relevant experience in full-stack, web, backend, or software application development.
- Experience developing frontend and backend components for business applications.
- Practical experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with JSON, HTTP methods, API authentication, error handling, and API integration.
- Experience using GitHub or an equivalent Git-based source‑control platform.
- Understanding of branching strategies, pull requests, merge processes, code reviews, and release tagging.
- Good understanding of object‑oriented programming, software‑design principles, and clean‑code practices.
- Experience with application debugging, troubleshooting, and production defect resolution.
- Basic understanding of software security, authentication, authorisation, and secure coding practices.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
