Job summary

Tantaworks (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Social Media Designer to create and edit engaging content for social platforms, including copy and descriptions. You will edit event photos and short-form videos, manage the content calendar, and produce on-site coverage with a focus on storytelling and audience engagement.

The role requires a 2+ year background in graphic design and video editing, with proficiency in CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Multimedia Design or related field.
• Minimum 2 years in graphic design, video editing and advertising.
• Proficiency in CapCut, Premiere Pro, After Effects; strong pacing and storytelling.
• Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator; strong layout and aesthetics.
• Native English and Mandarin, written and spoken.
• Knowledge of color correction, sound syncing, basic audio mixing.
• Excellent communication and ability to work on multiple projects.
• Showreel or portfolio required.
• Knowledge of motion graphics and live video production preferred.
• Willing to work late hours or travel for events.

Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and schedule social media content with copy and descriptions.
• Produce event photo edits, short-form videos, highlights, and stories.
• Manage weekly social media updates and the content calendar.
• Input music, voice over, subtitles, sound effects, graphics, and VFX.
• Capture on-site event footage and behind-the-scenes video and photography.
• Organise project files and media assets efficiently.
• Research and implement digital marketing trends to boost brand awareness and traffic.
• Stay updated with editing tools and technologies to improve workflow.
• Engage with audience via social media comments and messages.
• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and event teams to execute briefs.
• Monitor and analyze social media data, including boosted posts and ads.
