Job summary

Intel Corporation in Malaysia, Penang, seeks an Experienced hardware platform specialist to enable post-silicon validation for client SoCs and boards. You will set up, maintain, and troubleshoot platforms, coordinate BKC deployments, and triage hardware issues to ensure readiness for engineering teams.

The role emphasizes collaboration across labs and engineering groups, strong focus on quality, and ongoing process improvements to drive platform reliability and efficiency in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 1-3 years hands-on hardware platform experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of SoC platform architectures and hardware setup.
• Basic scripting or programming knowledge for platform/hw automation and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform platform setup and configuration to support validation readiness and testing.
• Execute platform maintenance to keep systems operational, stable, and available.
• Perform hardware rework including component replacement and board updates.
• Support BKC deployments and validation readiness across hardware/software environments.
• Conduct platform failure triage by identifying and escalating issues to engineering teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support readiness and issue workflows.
• Manage platform inventory and lab resources for efficient utilization.
• Drive continuous improvement in platform management and maintenance procedures.
• Work with lab equipment to support bring-up and investigation activities.
