Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Minde Group Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Assistant SMT Process & Equipment Manager in Johor Bahru to oversee the SMT assembly process, equipment performance, and PCBA optimization. You will lead process improvements and ensure production targets are met.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing SMT processes, maintaining equipment, mentoring engineers, collaborating with quality and R&D, and delivering data-driven decisions to reduce defects and downtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical/Industrial Engineering as required.
• Strong knowledge of SMT processes, equipment, and technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across departments.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and team management experience.
• Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in SMT assembly processes and equipment management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee SMT assembly process and equipment to ensure efficient production operations and optimization of the PCBA process.
• Develop, implement, and optimize SMT assembly processes to increase productivity and reduce waste.
• Analyze production data, troubleshoot issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain process documentation including work instructions and SOPs.
• Manage maintenance, calibration, and repair of SMT equipment to ensure maximum uptime.
• Collaborate with vendors for equipment servicing, repairs, and parts procurement.
• Supervise and mentor process engineers and technicians, fostering continuous improvement and skill development.
• Conduct training on processes, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Implement quality control processes to minimize defects and improve yield rates.
