Job summary

SANMINA-SCI SYSTEMS (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD is seeking an SMT Manufacturing Equipment Engineer (Programmer) to develop and optimize pick-and-place programs, SPI settings, and process documentation for SMT mass production. The role involves using CAD/Gerber data, BOMs, and manufacturing software to configure machines and support continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with project teams on NPI, ECO and deviation discussions, generate loading lists, and troubleshoot equipment

Qualifications

• Familiarity with SMT pick‑and‑place programming concepts.
• Experience with BOM, CAD, Gerber handling is beneficial.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing software tools.

Responsibilities

• Generate new SMT pick & place programs based on BOM, CAD, Gerber, and drawings.
• Create configured line SMT pick and place programs and loading lists.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for equipment line technicians.
• Assist in NP I, Qual, ECO, and deviation meetings and discussions.
• Ensure correct part data, shape data, and package data in programs.
• Support 42Q MES system and related troubleshooting.
• Assist engineers with equipment installation, movement & scrap activities.
