Job summary

SiTime is seeking a Manager of Sustaining Test Engineering in Ipoh to lead the Sustaining group, provide direction, and drive ongoing improvements in test programs and qualification processes.

You will manage priorities, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure timely buy-off for HW, ATE systems, and test programs while maintaining production readiness and line health.

Qualifications

Degree in engineering or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
Experience leading technical teams in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with Final Test Testing and Wafer Sort/Circuit Probing.
Experience with prober and ATE hardware and associated test systems.
Knowledge of C++ or Python programming for test automation.
Strong English communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Provide clear directions to the Sustaining team and manage test programs.
Plan and execute qualification and buy-off for HW, ATE, and test coverage.
Analyze test data and document buy-off/qualification reports.
Offer remote and on-site debugging for product and test issues.
Guide sustaining test engineers in debugging test programs and hardware.
Interface with cross-functional teams and OSAT personnel; travel as needed.

Job Summary

As a Manager of Sustaining Test Engineering, you are expected to manage the Sustaining group in Ipoh, providing technical guidance and providing directions to the team.
You will provide priorities and guide the project commitments of the team.
You will drive the HW, Product and System Qualification Buy-off to be deployed for Mass Production.
Will take project initiatives on Test improvements, Test Program releases and test program revision updates.
Make recommendations for process improvements in production.
Making sure that OSAT Testing for Final Test and Circuit/Wafer Probing does not have significant issues that will result in lines-down.
You will drive Continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Provide clear directions to the Sustaining team
Provide guidance to the team on solutions and dispositions to Test Engineering abnormalities in a Manufacturing/Production environment.
Plan and execute qualification and buy-off for but not limited to both new and mature products, HW, ATE System, Test Programs and other Testing related coverage that needs qualification and buy-off.
Provide Test Data Analysis and documented reports on Buy-off and Qualification data.
Provide remote and online debug for Product, Test Program, System and HW issues.
Provide technical guidance to Sustaining test engineers, such as debugging Test programs, debugging Test Hardware, FA analysis.
Recommend priority changes and plan resource management.
Interface with Internal Cross-Functional Team and OSAT personnel.
Travel locally or internationally to OSAT and other company offices as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements (Education must be included)

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or above in Engineering, Computer, Electrical, Industrial or any related field.
Experience in managing technical teams.
Experience with Prober and ATE Handler
Experience with Final Test Testing and/or Wafer Sort/Circuit Probing.
Experience on-Line Sustaining for Final Test or Circuit Probe/Wafer Sort.
Experience with ETS-88, ETS-364 or any commercial Testers (LTX, Advantest, uFlex, iFlex etc.).
Familiar/Knowledgeable with C++ or Python.
Set-up experience and verification on Testing Hardware e.g. Probe Card, Load Board, Circuit Interface board.
English communication proficiency.

Compensation Range

In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a quarterly bonus tied to the achievement of innovation goals—reflecting our commitment to recognizing meaningful impact.
