Job summary

OVIVO MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Safety & Health Supervisor to enforce policies and lead site safety initiatives in Penang.

You will identify risks via audits, ensure permits and certifications are current, and supervise subcontractors to uphold safety standards. The role requires at least 5 years in safety supervision, strong knowledge of the OSH Act 1994, and excellent communication skills across all levels.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ Degree in Occupational Safety & Health.
• Minimum 5 years of experiences in Supervising Safety related activities.
• Good safety knowledge on site work.
• Good knowledge on OSH Act 1994.
• Safety Management Skills.
• Highly motivated and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills with all levels.
• Presentable, decent personality and good attitude towards colleagues.
• Trustworthy.
• OYK SSS registered with DOSH (Yellow Book).

Responsibilities

• Implement the Safety and Health policies, procedures, rules and regulations on site.
• Identify risks and hazards on site (through audits and inspection), recommend corrective actions, assist in implementation and follow-up till closure.
• Ensure that all plant has relevant certification and inspection to work on site.
• Ensure that all relevant permits are in place to allow works to proceed such as hot work permit, lifting permit, working at height etc.
• Supervise and ensure all subcontractors/vendor carry out the work according to the Safety and Health Procedure, Instructions, Rules and Regulation.
• Conduct training such as toolbox briefing and safety awareness training to all the workers.
• Report and investigate incidents, (including minor injuries, near misses, and property damage) and verify that corrective action are implemented.
• To perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by superior.
