Job summary

Turner & Townsend, KL/Selangor, is seeking a Site Safety & Health Officer (Industrial & Science) to monitor and enforce safety, health, and environmental requirements on our site. The role requires strong knowledge of construction safety and regulatory compliance.

You will conduct inspections, review HSE plans, lead inductions, and coordinate emergency drills, ensuring safe execution of industrial projects across real estate, infrastructure, and manufacturing sectors.

Qualifications

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and reporting skills.
Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations, risk assessment, and incident investigation processes.
Familiarity with contractor safety management and permit-to-work systems.

Responsibilities

Monitor and enforce compliance with site safety, health, and environmental requirements.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety observations to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
Review contractors' HSE plans, risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work systems.
Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements, project standards, and client HSE expectations.
Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and recommend preventive measures.
Organize and conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE awareness programs.
Monitor high-risk activities, including work at height, lifting operations, confined space entry, hot works, and energy isolation.
Track HSE performance metrics and prepare regular safety reports for project stakeholders.
Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure site emergency preparedness.
