Job summary

China Construction Yangtze River (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Safety Officer to assist the Safety Manager in implementing SHE requirements across project sites. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with OSH Act and local authorities, conducting site inspections, and maintaining comprehensive safety records.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Environmental/Health/Safety Engineering or equivalent, has at least 2 years of relevant experience, and must possess the Yellow Book.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Environmental/Health/Safety engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related work experience.
• Must possess Yellow book.

Responsibilities

• Assist Safety Manager/Officer on SHE matters relating to project sites.
• Ensure compliance with OSH Act and local regulations.
• Perform site inspections and audits to ensure safety methods are observed.
• Develop and maintain accurate OSH reports and records.
• Plan, coordinate and conduct SHE activities, trainings and programs.
• Attend Safety and Health meetings and respond to local authorities' requirements.
• Carry out other duties as instructed by Management.
