Job summary

GAMUDA is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to assist the Construction Manager and Project Manager in planning and executing works on the project site in Malaysia. The role focuses on technical problem solving, on-site coordination, and documentation to support timely progress.

The candidate should hold a degree in Civil & Structural Engineering and have at least 3 years of experience in infrastructure projects, with proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years in infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Attends to technical matters on site by developing solutions to problems with the application of engineering concepts, practices and techniques.
• Assist the Construction Manager in the planning of work and resources with particular reference to work program to ensure timely progress.
• Close co-ordination with supervisors, surveyors, laboratory personnel, foremen, and sub-contractors to ensure effective teamwork.
• Prepares the method statements and construction shop drawings for submission and to obtain timely approvals to ensure timely progress.
• Comply with the QMS through preparation of relevant site documentations sudh as RFI, site diary, etc.
• Attend to site inspections of the work trades.
• To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety & Health and Environment related to the job scope and work place as required by the Company.
• Any other duties that will be assigned from time to time by the Management.
