Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Site Engineer to plan, coordinate and monitor daily construction activities at the assigned project site, and to coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Agent, and subcontractors.

You will supervise workmanship, review drawings, ensure compliance with ITPs, maintain records, and support safety, quality, and progress reporting while working at project sites.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in civil, structural, building or a related discipline.
• Good knowledge of construction methods, drawings and site practices.
• Familiarity with quality, safety, health and environmental requirements.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor daily construction activities at the assigned project site.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, Site Agent, Supervisors, subcontractors and consultants.
• Monitor site progress against the approved program and identify delays.
• Coordinate work sequences to ensure smooth site operations.
• Assist in planning manpower, materials, and equipment for site activities.
• Supervise construction works to meet drawings, specs and ITPs.
• Ensure workmanship and construction meets quality standards.
• Monitor subcontractors' progress and productivity.
• Identify site issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Review drawings and technical docs before works commence.
• Coordinate with consultants on technical matters and inspections.
• Ensure drawings revisions are properly implemented at site.
• Maintain records of inspections, tests and quality-related matters.
• Promote safe working practices and monitor site housekeeping.
• Prepare progress reports and assist in project meetings.
