Job summary

Private Advertiser in Malaysia seeks an experienced Civil Engineer to oversee bridge construction projects, coordinating with subcontractors, consultants, authorities and internal teams.

You will ensure execution according to approved plans, manage schedules and budgets, and maintain QA/QC while mentoring site staff. A Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering and at least 10 years' bridge experience are required; fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years' working experience in the construction industry with good knowledge in bridge works.
• Self-driven, meticulous and dynamic team player.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Very good in AutoCAD and Microsoft Project application.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and liaise with subcontractors, consultants, government authorities, and the construction team on approval of project matters and technical solutions
• Prepare and review monthly progress reports
• Plan and review construction plan, schedule and manpower requirements at project sites
• Ensure timely completion of project in accordance with project plan, schedule, and budget
• Guide and train subordinates on efficient construction and application methods
• Monitor and ensure quality workmanship (QA/QC) of workers at project sites in accordance with client requirements
• Attend and participate in meetings with internal parties, clients, consultants, and related authorities
• Identify and solve issues that arise at project sites
• Ensure all projects are executed in accordance with approved plans/drawings, contract specifications, and regulatory requirements
• Provide regular updates, reports, recommendations, and analysis to management
