Job summary

Nexperia in Malaysia seeks a Senior Equipment Improvement Engineer (Singulation) to drive performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of package singulation equipment in a high‑volume semiconductor fab.

You will lead improvement projects, collaborate across teams, and ensure robust preventive maintenance and qualification of equipment to maximize uptime and yield.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of semiconductor manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of OEE, MTBF, MTBA, UPH, and equipment performance management.

Responsibilities

• Improve equipment KPIs including OEE, UPH, MTBF, MTBA, and equipment availability.
• Support equipment installation, setup, qualification, and production ramp‑up.
• Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Lead equipment improvement projects to enhance productivity, yield, and quality.
• Collaborate with Production, Process, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve technical issues.

This is your new job As a Senior Equipment Improvement Engineer (Singulation), you will be responsible for driving the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of Package Singulation equipment in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or related disciplines. Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing.

MUST Have Hard Skills

• Equipment troubleshooting and failure analysis.
• Preventive maintenance and reliability improvement experience.
• Strong knowledge of OEE, MTBF, MTBA, UPH, and equipment performance management.
• Experience with equipment qualification and production support.
