About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused Shop Assistants to join the KK Group of Companies (Retail) team at our KK SUPERMART location in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. This is a part-time position based at our Desa Cempaka (NDC) store, offering flexible working hours that fit around your lifestyle. As a Shop Assistant, you will be at the heart of our retail operation, providing excellent customer service and ensuring our store runs smoothly. This role is perfect for individuals seeking to develop their retail skills whilst maintaining flexibility in their schedule.

Key responsibilities

Greeting customers warmly and providing assistance to ensure a positive shopping experience

Stocking shelves and displays with merchandise, ensuring products are well-organised and clearly priced

Operating the point-of-sale system accurately and processing customer payments and returns

Maintaining a clean and tidy store environment, including tidying shelves, floors and fitting rooms

Assisting customers in locating products and answering questions about stock availability and product information

Monitoring stock levels and notifying management when items require replenishment

Following store policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines

Contributing to store promotions and displays as directed by management

Supporting colleagues during busy periods to ensure efficient customer service

What we're looking for

Previous retail or customer service experience is advantageous but not essential for the right candidate

Excellent customer service skills and a genuine desire to help customers

Ability to work as part of a team and support colleagues

Physical capability to lift and move stock items regularly

Reliable and punctual, with a positive attitude towards work

Basic numeracy skills and comfort with using point-of-sale systems

Flexibility to work part-time hours, including potential weekend availability

Good communication skills and a professional outlook

Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and procedures
