Job summary

SHANGTAI TECHNOLOGY (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead project planning, tendering, construction and completion across plant facilities in Kedah.

You will supervise installation, commissioning and ensure adherence to quality standards. The role requires hands-on maintenance planning, technical standard development, and overseeing upgrades, troubleshooting, and improvements in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in mechanical engineering or manufacturing.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, UG (NX), SolidWorks, ProE and MS Office.
• Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English; Chinese communication skills are an advantage.
• Willing to work on a shift basis due to machinery operational requirements.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage project planning, tendering, construction and completion.
• Supervise construction quality, equipment installation and commissioning.
• Oversee plant facilities, equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Develop maintenance plans and technical standards.
• Handle equipment upgrades, troubleshooting and technical improvements.
• Manage water and gas utility systems.
• Control spare parts inventory and maintain engineering records.
