Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Malaysia is seeking a senior Mechanical Project Lead to drive delivery of complex mechanical packages across greenfield and brownfield projects.

You will lead the commissioning team, develop execution strategies, review designs and specifications, and coordinate with consultants, vendors and contractors to resolve issues. The role emphasizes budget control, schedule adherence, safety compliance and QA/QC throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or building services engineering.
• 12–15 years of mechanical project delivery experience.
• Experience managing large mechanical construction packages.
• Experience with greenfield and brownfield mission critical projects.
• Proven leadership of mechanical subcontractor and commissioning teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead all mechanical project activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop execution strategies, schedules, procurement plans, and construction methodologies.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of mechanical systems
• Ensure mechanical systems meet performance and redundancy requirements.
• Review mechanical designs and specifications.
• Coordinate with consultants, vendors, and contractors to resolve technical issues.
• Evaluate design modifications and value engineering opportunities.
• Monitor installation quality and compliance with approved drawings.
• Lead mechanical testing, TAB and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate turnover documentation and client acceptance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Drive QA/QC processes for mechanical installations.
• Support implementation of safety programs and site requirements.
