Job summary

Melexis in Malaysia (Kuching) seeks a hands-on Production Shift Leader to own and optimize manufacturing flow 24/7. You will drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement while coaching a diverse team and using data to cut waste and boost efficiency.

You will collaborate across departments (supply chain, quality, process & equipment) and promote digital tooling adoption. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience leading/coaching a production team.
• Fluent in English and the local language.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 quality standards.
• Proficient in problem-solving methodologies and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a diverse production team to meet flow, volume, timeframe and quality specs.
• Foster safety, quality, and continuous improvement culture.
• Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with supply chain, quality, and process/equipment teams.
• Promote use of digital tools to enhance production processes and decision making.
• Coach and develop team members with regular feedback and reviews.
• Create a positive, engaging work environment and promote continuous learning.
• Contribute to global alignment projects and Melexis network efficiency.
