Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Shift Maintenance Technician in Batu Kawan, Pulau Pinang. You will maintain small to medium-sized buildings and industrial systems, performing preventive maintenance and repairs under supervision.

The role covers electrical, HVAC and general building maintenance, with a focus on energy efficiency and safety compliance. Strong communication and adherence to procedures are essential.

Qualifications

• SKM or Technical Diploma is required or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of job-related experience in facilities maintenance.
• Strong experience in electrical, HVAC and building maintenance.
• Able to meet physical requirements (stooping, standing, walking, stairs, lifting 50 lbs).
• Good communication skills to exchange straightforward information.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical and other building systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review assigned work orders and track completion with available systems.
• Support energy management by ensuring building systems run efficiently.
• Inspect existing installations for compliance with codes and safety regulations.
• Follow established procedures to solve straightforward problems and communicate clearly.
• Contribute to team output by following defined duties and processes under supervision.
