Job summary

Kobay Technology Bhd. is seeking a Business Unit Head / Operations Manager to lead the Sheet Metal Fabrication BU in Penang, overseeing Metal Fabrication, Laser Cutting, CNC Machining, Welding, Powder Coating and Assembly.

You will drive performance, capacity, cost, quality and delivery while pursuing continuous improvement. The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Engineering or related field and 8–10 years in sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing operations, with strong leadership and OT/cost

Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business or related field.
8–10 years' experience in Sheet Metal Fabrication, Metal Manufacturing or related manufacturing operations.
Strong hands-on knowledge of Laser Cutting, CNC, Welding, Powder Coating and Assembly.
Experience in managing production, capacity, manpower, backlog and delivery.
Strong leadership, problem-solving and business acumen.

Responsibilities

Lead overall BU business and operational performance.
Oversee daily production, output, capacity and manpower utilization.
Drive sales, order backlog and customer delivery performance.
Monitor OEE, productivity and OT to improve operational efficiency.
Ensure quality, safety and on-time delivery targets are achieved.
Identify production bottlenecks and drive process improvements.
Lead and develop production and fabrication teams.
Work closely with Sales, Planning, Engineering, QA/QC, Supply Chain and Finance.
