Job summary

HSS ENGINEERING SDN BHD is seeking a Process Engineer to support the design, upgrading and improvement of municipal Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs). You will carry out process design, engineering calculations, and prepare PFDs/P&IDs while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet Malaysian sewerage standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 5 years of wastewater treatment process design experience, with familiarity in EA/SBR processes and related

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Environmental, Civil or related engineering field.
• 5 years of relevant experience in sewage or wastewater treatment process design.
• Experience in engineering consultancy or Design & Build projects is advantageous.
• Competence in EA/activated sludge and/or SBR design, hydraulic and biological process calculations.
• Exposure to reinforced-concrete STPs and constrained-site replacement works is advantageous.
• Familiar with process calculations, hydraulic design, aeration, sludge treatment and equipment selection.

Responsibilities

• Carry out process design and engineering calculations for new and upgraded sewage treatment plants.
• Assess existing plant conditions and recommend suitable treatment processes (EA and SBR).
• Prepare PFDs, P&IDs, design reports, specifications and equipment datasheets.
• Ensure designs comply with Malaysian sewerage standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation teams and suppliers.
• Review technical submissions to ensure alignment with design requirements.
• Provide technical support during construction, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Assist with design reviews, authority submissions and site coordination.
