Job summary

De Nora Water Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia seeks an experienced Senior Process Design Engineer to lead water and wastewater treatment process design for client projects. You will guide engineers, perform unit operations selection, and ensure cost-effective, compliant solutions across multiple industries.

The role requires a degree in engineering and at least eight years of relevant experience, with strong knowledge of process design, utilities, and project execution in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical or similar).
• Minimum of eight (8) years work experience as Process Engineer in Water and Wastewater Treatment Systems including process design.
• Proven knowledge in Water, Wastewater, and Industrial/Ultrapure Water treatment unit operations and technologies as listed.

Responsibilities

• Process engineering design development for Water, Wastewater, and Industrial/Ultrapure Water treatment unit operations and technologies (as listed) including process calculations, technical specifications, pipe sizing, equipment selection.
• Provide cost effective solutions while ensuring technical compliance with client requirements.
• Provide necessary training and mentoring to Process Engineers and other relevant personnel.
• Ensure robust and efficient system design.
• Lead a team of engineers during Project Execution Phase.
• Develop P&ID and PFD for water and wastewater treatment systems with multi-discipline team.
• Provide process expertise for troubleshooting and operations optimization for BW Water systems.
• Support tender teams with process input for potential projects.
• Develop and maintain process-related engineering templates.
• Follow Group quality directives and suggest improvements.
• Keep project scope within Group guidelines.
• Ensure deliverables meet timelines and costs.
• Provide technical support during meetings with customers, vendors, subcontractors.
