Job summary

Solventum is seeking a Service Engineer to join our growing healthcare solutions team in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. You will coordinate and perform equipment repair, calibration, and preventive maintenance across our medical devices and lab equipment, ensuring uptime and reliability.

In addition to technical servicing, you will support quality, compliance, and procurement activities using SAP Ariba, manage spare parts inventory, and assist with audits and safety processes in a regulated

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree or Diploma in a relevant technical field.
• 3+ years of equipment servicing, field service, or maintenance engineering.
• Experience with medical devices or regulated environments preferred.
• Familiarity with quality systems, calibration, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform equipment repair, troubleshooting, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
• Develop service schedules to maximize uptime and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain records of service, maintenance, calibration, and quality activities.
• Coordinate procurement and parts delivery via Ariba.
• Monitor parts inventory and stock levels; manage spare parts.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and confidentiality is maintained.
• Prepare service reports and support audits and inspections.

Equipment Service & Maintenance

• Coordinate and support equipment repair, troubleshooting, calibration, preventive maintenance, and commissioning activities.
• Develop and maintain equipment service schedules to ensure optimal equipment uptime and reliability.
• Monitor equipment performance and work with service providers to resolve technical issues promptly.
• Report device-related complaints to the Complaint Handling Team.

Quality & Compliance

• Implement Quality Control (QC) and cleaning procedures through service providers (4PL)
• Ensure all service activities comply with applicable SOPs, Work Instructions, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain complete and accurate service, maintenance, calibration, and quality records.
• Support internal and external audits, inspections, and compliance activities.
• Coordinate and monitor service activities performed by 4PL partners.
• Ensure 4PL providers adhere to company SOPs, quality standards, and service requirements.
• Manage certification and calibration of service tools used by internal teams and external service providers.
• Conduct periodic reviews of service performance and compliance.
• Conduct periodic training for service providers (4PL) team.

Inventory & Procurement

• Manage spare parts inventory to support repair and maintenance activities.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure availability of critical spare parts.
• Manage parts procurement and purchase requests through Ariba.
• Coordinate with suppliers and service providers (4PL) to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

Safety & Confidentiality

• Ensure all service activities are conducted in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of company, customer, and product information.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare service reports for the Service Manager.
• Support any Medsurg related service tasks as assigned by Service Manager.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

• 3+ years of experience in equipment servicing, field service, technical support, or maintenance engineering.
• Experience in medical devices, laboratory equipment, or regulated industries is preferred.
• Familiarity with quality systems, preventive maintenance, calibration, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience with SAP Ariba or equivalent procurement systems is advantageous.

Travel: May include up to 5 % domestic/international
