Job summary

Carrier is seeking an HVAC tech to perform routine servicing, preventive maintenance, and fault diagnosis on chillers under service agreements. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues, coordinate with customers and technicians, and contribute to commissioning, reporting, and safety documentation.

Ideal candidates have hands-on chiller experience, knowledge of various chiller types, and familiarity with BMS/IoT platforms.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in chiller servicing, commissioning, troubleshooting, or repair.
• Knowledge of centrifugal, screw, or water-cooled chiller systems.
• Ability to read electrical and control drawings and interpret operating parameters.
• Familiarity with BMS, IoT, or remote monitoring platforms is advantageous.
• Experience in data centres or large HVAC projects is highly desirable.
• Strong report writing, coordination, and project execution skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead technicians on site.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance of HVAC equipment under Service Agreements.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, controls, and operational issues and provide recommendations.
• Execute and supervise repair, commissioning, and service activities.
• Attend customer complaints, investigate issues, and provide effective solutions.
• Support after-sales service sales by identifying repair, replacement, upgrade, and maintenance opportunities.
• Attend technical meetings with customers, consultants, and contractors.
• Prepare JHA, Method Statements, work permits, safety documentation, and other jobsite requirements.
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, technicians, and internal teams for smooth execution of service activities.
• Manage and forecast spare parts requirements for repair and maintenance works.
• Connect and monitor chillers through Carrier Smart Service Platform and prepare equipment performance reports.
• Prepare technical reports, service reports, commissioning/start-up reports, and monthly chiller performance reports.
• Conduct technical and product training for customers, contractors, and in-house technicians.
• Liaise with factory technical teams and follow up on technical issues, service bulletins, and product-related matters.
• Support the Service Manager in daily operational and technical activities.
• Ensure compliance with company EH&S policies and customer site safety requirements.

• Strong report-writing, coordination, and project execution skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as lead and support technicians on site.
