Job summary

KLoé Hotel Sdn. Bhd. is seeking vibrant individuals to join our F&B team. If you love hospitality, coffee, and meeting people, we want to meet you!

You will ensure guest satisfaction, maintain cafe cleanliness, and assist with menu knowledge and recommendations, while delivering warm, welcoming service to all guests.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English is a must to handle international guests.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to listen and respond to customer preferences.
• Strong collaboration with service and kitchen teams.
• Creative thinking to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
• Experience handling challenging conversations with upset customers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth guest experience from entry to service within promised time.
• Maintain cleanliness of cafe area and surroundings.
• Ensure cleanliness of cutleries, crockeries and items used.
• Understand menu items and make recommendations.
• Greet customers cheerfully and engage with them.
• Manage customer expectations by listening to preferences.
• Back-end preparation of food and storage.
• Prepare mise-en-place for ready-to-eat meals.
• Handle F&B transactions using POS and cashiering.

Key responsibilities

Ensure smooth guest experience for guests: from stepping into the living room, to getting their food accurately, within the promised time, to making them feel taken care of.

Ensure cleanliness in the cafe area and its surrounding.

Ensure the cleanliness of cutleries, crockeries and other items used during operations.

Understand each item in the menu, make recommendations and ensure customers' satisfaction.

Ensure all guests feel welcomed, comfortable and well taken care of.

Greet customers in cheerful and welcoming manners, start a chat and engage with customers.

Manage customers' expectations by listening and responding to their preferences or requests.

Back-end preparation of food, cutleries, storage of items and food.

Preparation of mise-en-plas for ready to eat meals.

Manage and handle F&B transactions, using the POS system and handle payments. Including handling cashiering.

About you

Fluency in English is a must, as you will be handling international guests.

Strong Communication Skills - greet customers in cheerful and welcoming manners, start a chat and engage with customers, display of pleasant non-verbal gestures.

Strong social awareness and interpersonal skills, manage customers' expectations by listening and responding to their preference or requests.

Coordination with service and kitchen team members. Because you won't be working alone, your collaboration skill is gold.

Creative skills, thinking and acting extra miles to provide outstanding guest experience.

Plus plus point ++: Having skills of managing unpleasant conversations, diffusing upset or uncomfortable (and sometimes, hangry) customers.
